Near this church is the famous 'well' known as the 'Pathala Kinar'( the well through which Kathanar went to the underworld).The Poyedam church can be seen from the back of the Kadamattom church and is only walkable distance from here.

The devotees of Kathanar mostly non-Christians throw money, butchered hen and bottles of liquor into the well as a mark of respect and gratitiude to the the Kathanar. A witchcraft known as 'kadamattom seva' is also popular among non-Christian devotees here

The Jacobite Chapel is near the Poyedam Church and is behind the Kadamattom Church.People new to the place don't know it's whereabouts.Adding to the confusion,the IOC people who have a chapel just beside the Kadamattom church mislead the pilgrims saying that theirs is the original one and prompt them to put money in their chapel. They are doing a great atrocity to the pilgrims who come and worship here.The webmaster also suffered a similar fate when he went there. Later only recognized the deceit.This atrocity of IOC is characteristic and is a repetition elsewhere. Anyway this shows their lack of confidence and the fear of impending doom. 'You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you can never fool all of the people all of the time'.
